During the Web of Europe exhibition in Budapest on 11 November 2011 the Ildikó Dobrányi Foundation will organize a conference at the Moholy-Nagy University of Art and Design, The lecturers of the conference - Edit András senior research fellow, Research Institute for Art History of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences, member of the Advisory Board, Ildiko Dobranyi Foundation; Thomas Cronenberg tapestry artist, member of the European Tapestry Forum Steering Group; Rita Halasi art gallery manager, MOME Ponton Gallery, Member of the Advisory Board, Ildiko Dobranyi Foundation; Ibolya Hegyi tapestry artist, member of the Advisory Board, Ildiko Dobranyi Foundation; Ingrid De Meûter art historian, Curator of the Tapestries and Textiles Collection, Royal Museums of Art and History, Brussels; Susan Mowatt tapestry artist, faculty member, Edinburgh College of Art; Lívia Pápai textile artist; Réka Semsey art historian Museum of Applied Arts, Budapest; Katalin Schulcz literary historian, member of the Advisory Board, Ildiko Dobranyi Foundation; András Szalai faculty member, Budapest University of Technology and Economy; Anna Wessely art historian, sociologist, faculty member, Eötvös Loránd University, Budapest - will introduce the tapestry according to the historical, contemporary and theoretical aspects and will also enlight that tapestry in the XXI. century can enter to the artscene as a contemporary medium.
